A resident's-eye view of RAGBRAI, the annual bike tour across Iowa. Really very charming. Makes me wish I were getting out on my bike more than I have been this summer.
I am hoping to work up to Cycle Oregon one of these years, but I don't think this year is that year (between work and family crises, I have spent a LOT less time on my bike than I would like).
I worked up from doing short distances to doing half-centuries in about a year, after a pregnancy and postpartum disability that had me spending a couple of very long years mostly on the couch. It can be done!
At last year's they had a team from the state archaeological office providing rolling interpretation as they passed various points of cultural interest. I so envied them their jerseys....
