The one downside of the trailer is having to put it together (it packs flat which is great for current minimal-storage-space house, & takes only a minute to put together) & strap stuff onto it safely. We're moving house soon & will have a GARAGE for the 5 bikes + trailer, so at that point I might start leaving it set up (it's only a minute to set it up, but I tend to see that as OMG A WHOLE MINUTE :) ) & with a box strapped onto it, for ease of taking e.g. compost down the allotment.
